Ulrike Ottinger

Ulrike Ottinger has created an artistic universe as a painter, filmmaker, and photographer. In the course of eight stations, Cosmos Ottinger leads one through the multi-layered work of a visionary artist. Screenplays, film props, objects, costumes, fabric collages, and photographs provide insight into Ottinger's work over the past 60 years. 

Contributions by Çağla Ilk, Misal Adnan Yıldız, Katharina Sykora, Hannelore Paflik-Huber, Johanna Sentef, Hannah Black, and Katharina Müller explore Ulrike Ottinger's world theater and show how the artist exposes and transforms conservative notions of identity, sets signs for solidarity, and still responds to crises with an aesthetic strategy to this day.
