Sarkis - 7 Tage, 7 Nächte

The Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden is dedicating a comprehensive solo exhibition to the internationally renowned conceptual artist Sarkis (born 1938 in Istanbul, lives and works in Paris), whose works have a profoundly social reference that calls for a fusion of practices and cultures. The exhibition is the result of a year-long exchange with the artist, which focused on history and trauma as well as institutions as a space for reflection, participation and community.

The exhibition was staged by Sarkis, in close collaboration with Çağla Ilk, Misal Adnan Yıldız and Defne Ayas.

Curators: Defne Ayas, Çağla Ilk, Misal Adnan Yıldız
