As part of Jan St. Werner - Space Synthesis, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden is launching syntheticspace.de, a new web space that represents an additional visual layer to this exhibition.

Jan St. Werner's granular sound syntheses formulate a new conceptual version of the exhibition space. What new, rebellious spatial typologies can emerge here, especially in the age of synthetic media? Syntheticspace.de combines questions about this dramaturgy of emerging spaces, about choreography, about performing bodies as performing data and about the possibilities of real-time feedback with the audience. Syntheticspace.de translates the propagation of visually barely perceptible sound particles in the exhibition spaces of the Kunsthalle into a visual system that incorporates both architecture and visitors and shows how they influence the propagation of sound particles.

Syntheticspace.de was developed by Jan St. Werner, Nikola Bojić , Damir Gamulin, Çağla Ilk and Dominik Busch.

For the finissage of Space Synthesis on July 2, 2023, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden is organizing a digital symposium that will discuss the background of the exhibition project and its digital level in greater depth.

With Jan St. Werner, Çağla Ilk, Nikola Bojic, Damir Gamulin, Goran Sergej Pristas, Lins Derry. Moderated by Dominik Busch.
