Sculptural interpretations of technological communication systems characterize the work of David Jablonowski (*1982). Similarly, the exhibition Public Hybrids brings together elements from various work cycles by the Amsterdam-based artist. What they all have in common is that they understand communication in its dialectical relationship to the environment and thus reveal an inseparable unity of technological and socio-cultural developments. The studio space 45cbm of the Kunsthalle becomes a showplace for precise analyses of apparatuses, materiality and distribution channels. For example, Jablonowski will present the material carbon, which is known as an image-driven ambassador of the automotive industry, in the form of a reduced sculpture, and elsewhere will bring to light hybrid interactions beneath the media surface in order to discuss their effects on an undefined public.
