With “Bloom Up! The Language of Flowers”, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden and the Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe invite visitors to a unique floral experience. The exhibition takes you on a sensuous and intellectually stimulating journey through 2,500 years of the cultural history of flowers: from the ancient Egyptian lotus, through Art Nouveau roses, to digital floral fantasies. Here, flowers tell stories of love, life, and transience, but also of resistance, memory, and poetic subversion. Historical objects meet contemporary art, creating an atmospheric “garden of the arts” that invites visitors to marvel, smell, touch, and enjoy. An experience for all the senses – a sea of flowers bridging history and the present.
