To the exhibition

As one of the main works in the exhibition Sarkis: 7 Days, 7 Nights, L'atelier d'aquarelle dans l'eau (Watercolors in the Water, 2005-2006) creates a communal space and a conceptual stage in the large hall of the Kunsthalle. Here, everyone is invited to take part in a ritual with watercolors and water.

At a large table equipped with a watercourse, bowls, brushes and paints, the participants come together to create pictures with water, an important element of the city of Baden-Baden. Through the organic work, they share personal encounters and memories.

The artist thus focuses on attention and patience as fundamental aspects of learning with and through art, which can also serve collective and personal healing.

The workshops are led by trained facilitators and are free of charge, subject to prior registration via this website. The dates are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please be there on time, participation after the start cannot be guaranteed.

Watercolor rituals in the form of workshops will take place Fridays at 12:30pm, and at 2:30pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 12pm and 2pm.

Register to participate here.

Please make sure to arrive latest 15 minutes prior. Attendance after the start of the workshop cannot be guaranteed.
