"ADA Aktionen der Avantgarde" (ADA Actions of the Avant-Garde) was the slogan under which an initiative group came together at the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein in 1973 to realize a model of an experimental art event for the 1973 Berlin Festival at short notice. ADA was based on the idea of overcoming traditional exhibition forms. ADA was not to be conceived by 'makers', but by artists. ADA was not meant to be something fixed, ready to be served to the public on the opening day and unchanged for four or five weeks." (Jörn Merkert, Ursula Prinz)

The artist Wolf Vostell took part in the first edition of the ADA event series with his environment "Auto-Fieber" and the happening "Berlinfieber".

Ulrike Ottinger documented both. This resulted in the film "Berlinfieber - Wolf Vostell", a happening documentary by Ulrike Ottinger.
