Stefanie Klingemann (* 1977 in Moers) makes use of paradoxical moments which she deliberately dissects and finally questions in spatial installations or performative stagings, often adding a humorist tint. Her role models originate at the intersection of trivial life and high culture. In the Studio Space of the historical Kunsthalle, she arranges a collage of visual discoveries from Baden-Baden, whereby contemporary art is placed between tradition and affirmation. There, obvious imitations of marble, as an excerpt from the collective pictorial memory, serves as a means of a reality survey. Finally, the exhibition IMAGINATION leaves the observer with a surprised doubt about the meanings of authenticity, originality and delusion.
